When the finger knows not where to go, it goes into the nose (Bété proverb – Côte d’Ivoire). – Too much inactivity leads the man to commit any sort of stupidity.

  1. Haha, that’s an excellent one. I think the more commonly known version in English is “The Devil finds work for idle hands.” I have a book full of Wolof proverbs which I am finding very enlightening at the moment.
