  1. Funny, but true. I first got facial hair when I was in high school, so I guess I was an adult sooner according to this proverb even though I didn’t have a beard until college. Haha!

    • If you were growing up in the times of initiation in Africa, you would have been initiated by then, and would have gone from boyhood into the manhood class.

      • I guess so. It’s really interesting about that as a rite of passage for boys into becoming men. Maybe I would get a full beard and grow it out. Okay, I never tried it before unless you count my college days doing No Shave November, but that’s not enough time. Hahaha! 😛
